Urgent  clarify hardware needed for mounting solo seat cowl !

The good news-> located an '84 cowl, including the hardware, for $50 !
The bad news-> don't think I got ALL the hardware, but don't know exactly what I'm missing, so I can't go back to the seller with a description.
PS: bike is in NJ: I'm in NC!

Can somebody that has a 1st gen seat cowl send some pics, or post copy of the installation instructions so I can tell this fella what to go look for?

I just posted 3 related pics in my Gallery at:
http://vfrworld.com/photos/showphoto...67/ppuser/6508

Here is what I determined so far:
1) I know I need an additional bolt (#1) in the pic, which attaches L-bracket to bottom of seat. I can get that at Lowes, HD. No problem...
2) there are 2 bolts (and probably washers too) missing that attach the solo cover to the big chrome hex bolts - they pass thru the cowl, and screw into the threads that exist "behind" the hex in each the chrome bolts. you can see how via the dotted line in one of the pics. Seems like a longer version of bolt #1 will work... I can rig this is necessary.
3) MOST IMPORTANT: what attaches the rear of the seat to the bike, once the cowl is mounted? Without the cowl, the locking latch does this, but when I remove the side grab handles to install the solo cowl, there is no remaining support for the locking latch, so the only thing holding the seat to the bike is my butt and the "tongue" at the front of the seat...
4) finally, why is there a big hole (or little hole on mine, for that matter) in the top of the cowl, since it appears that the key can not reach down to the keyhole anyway?

Bottomline, I believe I am missing some hardware - I need pics, or copy of original attachment instructions, or something ASAP because he is in the process of selling the bike and related boxes of parts

much TIA if you can help,
Dan
