'85 vf700f fairing interchangablity???

I'm looking for a fairing and other misc. body work that is interchangable with an '85 vf700f. From what I have read, I know that 83-85 vf750f parts fit, but what about from the 500's or 1000's? Anyone know or try different combo's? I saw the lower cowl and rear plastic parts for the 500's are different and won't work for the 700/750, but what about the side parts and front fairing?

I searched around the site but couldn't fine the answer. I just got my '85 vf700f today and already looking for parts that may need replacement.

Thanks much,

Joe

From my own research the parts are not interchangeable. Mounting is different and the frames are different as well. I'm sure if you "wanted" them to fit you could always mod them, but in my experience, it's usually easier (and cheaper) to purchase what works. eBay has been a great source for my '83 and I've replaced all but the chin cowl.

Good luck.
