Part Number?
I need the number off of the back of an 87 vfr f2 Reg/rec unit. Turns out mine is probably faulty but the one one the bike is aftermaket with no numbers stamped on it, so I need those numbers in order to find a new one, and the oem part number is no help.

I don't understand why the OEM part number is no help, unless it is no longer available or you are buying aftermarket. If it's the second one, then Ricks Motorsport Electrics shows the 86 VFR750 (and the VFR700), part number 10-122, for $105. Service Honda's microfiche shows the 86 VFR750, item # 8, part number 31600-ML7-008, $154. Electrosport does not even show an R/R.

OEM Honda / Shindengen R/R ...
Hello:
The part number I have for the OEM Honda (Shindengen) R/R is 31600-ML7-922. This is the same part number starting from the '87 F2 through, and including, the '89 FK. Somebody mentioned ElectroSport here. I've had HORRIBLE luck with those. I just recently went back to the OEM (same part number as above) and added a computer fan to draw off some of the heat. So far, so good (about 1000 miles). Gray Market |
