New a Petcock (84' VF500)

My petcock on my 84' VF500 took a crap. I have been searching high and low but I can't seem to find one. The only one I can find is direct through Honda and they want $240 plus tax.

Can someone please point me in the right direction of finding one? I only paid $1,200 for my bike and find it a little disturbing that my petcock will cost 28% of my bike!

the whole petcock or does it just need a rebuild kit?

i found a rebuild kit from the small engine mechanic in my hometown. he said that the books dont list the VF500F to match the kit he gave me, but it was a perfect fit. used everything but one small O-ring.

Will the petcock from an 86 VF500F work on my 84 VF500F?

Thank you very much, although the original pet cock is shot. It leaks out of every seam possible. I think I might have damaged it when I was blowing about 200 PSI through.

I ordered up a working petcock from an 86' VF500F, I'm hoping it will work.
