Synth oil in 86 VF500 HELP !!

Hey all,

I just needed to ask this question. I JUST bought this VF500, AND SHE'S MINT !! I took her home and got her ready for the Oyster Run here in Washington. Problem is I had NO idea that Synthetics were bad for her. I just read on the older posts that she likely won't like it. Well, I have ridden her for about 150 miles in 2 days and she's getting notchy and clutch slippage is starting between 1 and 2. Also coming home tonight from my brother's it went into a neutral between 5th and 6th. I started really sweating !!

Is it to late to switch over to regular oil ? Have I really screwed up ?
Is there possibly damage allready occuring ?
I sure hope that I did not destroy her.

The thing with synths in older rides is the possibility of it starting a leak. Dunno about your other issues. I would say if it were me, I would run Golden Spectro Synth/Dino blend. Maybe you need to drain and replace for piece of mind.

Good luck,
MD
