Upper/Side Plastics Mod??
Now that we've seen the tails, has anyone ever modded their front plastics, either a custom upper and side fairings or put a whole new set of plastics on from a different bike.
Any pics you have would be great. Any details on Mod would also be Great.. |

i have fogs up front with pretty much everything removed. i will be glassing a front piece to cover up the junk. will get around to fabbing up a bracket for the gauges. i was going to play with the gauges opening and customizing the factory set...that will have to wait. i wanna finish the tail and ride again!

I have been trying to find an upper fairing stay that is pretty similiar to the vfrs, but not having the greatest of luck. I figured i could simply find an upper fairing stay say from an F2/F3 since their plastics are pretty cheap on ebay, chop the mounting bracket from the VFR and weld it to the CBR'S that way the upper fairing should fit. and than work my way down to get the side fairings to fit.
Or i might just make a fiberlass copy of my upper fairing and make it a dual light upper fairing. |

Just picked up an 86 700, I have plans... maybe F4i, 636... maybe nothing and just a VTX headlight? Hmmm... the possibilities...

I've been trying to figure out the best lights to use in a stacked pattern so I can mod my front fairing into a similiar piece to the newest Bimota using the windscreen from a newer bike like a gsx.
