VFRChuck legit?

Hey guys, wanted to run something by ya. I bought cobalt racings upper and lower body panels from VFRChuck on ebay. Its been 20 days and I haven't received the parts. I've contacted him thru ebay several times and haven't heard back from him as well. Should I be worried? The auction says 10 days to ship. Should I just chill out for a bit longer and see if he contacts me? I've been taken recently by some fraudalent yahoos so I'm just a bit edgy when things start to drag out. Anybody else run into this with him. Lookin for peace of mind. Thanks

VFRchuck and Cobalt racing is legit, but he does have a reputuation as a little slow on the delivery. He'll get back to you soon.

Patience, his products are good.

Yep, he is legit. And true, he may be a little slow on shipping. I bought a seat cowl for a 93 and had no problems. As was said, he might be a little slow on shipping but it's worth it IMO.

not to beat a dead horse but yeah he is legit. he works a regular 9-5 like most of us and does the vfr parts on the side. So it could take a little while to get the parts you ordered but like most have said, it is WELL WORTH THE WAIT....

Thanks alot guys. I dont mind waiting, I've only heard good things about his stuff. It was just the lack of communication from him that started me worrying. I'll just take the lack of communication as his style and chill out till the parts arrive. Preciate all the response. TL

he's not known for speedy deliveries, but apparently the quality is bar none.

I ordered a "complete" set of fiberglass replacements for my '86. Headlight fairing, left & right lower side fairings, side pannels, tail section and pass. REAR SEAT COVER. Everything I "got" was great. I'm not sure if I'm still waiting for the rear seat cover or if I got stiffed. It took more than a month to get the first piece and almost 3 more months to get what I assume was the last piece. Now I'm 8 months into this transaction and I've pretty much given up on the pass. seat cover.
Once again, the quality on the parts I received is excellent. The glossy white gellcoat he uses looks so good that I still haven't got any of the parts painted. I just run 'em as is. Chuck, if you are reading this I just want you to know that despite having to wait sooo long, I was totally planing on tiping you like $50 bucks after I got all of my parts. The quality of your work is so good that if I ever get my cowl, I probably still will.

Structurally Chuck's parts are great. They WILL need filler before paint however. Mine were covered in pinholes and small imperfections. He does a good job with the fiberglass and anyone willing to work with that should be supported.

I know you have heard this before from others, but i would just give chuck some more time. He is a busy man. I have bought parts from him for an 86 i had about 10+ years ago, and just recently a seat cowl for my 93 from him. The products he sells are worth the wait.

I've never talked to him since I got his email so I could send money. I've emailed him 3 times politely asking him to confirm that he got my money and update me on the status of the order. Still no answer.

Funny thing is, he said he had one sitting there ready to be shipped to me, just send money and he'll have it shipped the following week.

Its not hard, just email us, ya know?

I've called him maybe 3 times in 2 months, no answer. 4 emails have not been replied to. I can't get a hold of him to even see if he got the money.

Anyone else talk to Chuck lately?

Still trying ..... not much success .... I must say this is not a very professional to run your business. I would hope that should there be something out of the ordinary preventing him from responding, someone would post it here or over at VFRD ....

Thats how it was written on a package I recieved about a month ago. It was hard to make out the street name and he only wrote O.for the state, I assume it is Ohio . Hope this helps.
