Camshaft question

Are all 4 camshafts interchangeable? I know they are all marked INF,EXF,INR,EXR. As I was changing a head gasket in the front, I noticed the 2 camshafts are stamped EXF. I know the engine rotated freely before I took it apart. So, Are they interchangeable?

Hey

Okay I have been changing my camshaft in my bike. You cannot mix the camshafts.Okay EXF= extirior front INR= intake rear EXR=Extirior Rear and INF=Intake Front. This has to be right.Like I noticed on my bike that is EXF and EXR are not simuliar.

Hope this help

Not exterior, the EX means 'exhaust'.

You are correct, the cams have the lobes positioned in a certain way and cannot be mixed. The intakes and exhaust have different profiles too, so that is not even close.
