Thanks for the reply. in addition to the Sources Ilisted.

Cobalt Racing sells fiberglass versions of all the 86 VFR body parts. Chuck sells them on e-bay and you find out what items he is selling at http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZvfrchuck

1986 Honda VFR750F Body Parts Sources

Glad you found the sources helpful.

Currently I am evaluating several Honda Factory Rear Shocks (purcahsed on e-bay to see if they can be fitted to the Generation 2 VFRs. I only purchased shocks that can be upgraded with a Race Tech Gold Valve Kit and Custom Springs.

If I get something to work I will post the information as well. My cost targets are low mileage used shocks under $100.00. The custom springs run $110.00 and the Valve Kit costs $190.00. But I will test the stock shocks before I do the upgrades.

After reading this post, well the beginning of it anyway, I thought it held some very good info as well as links to various sources and so I have made it a sticky so it will show up first.

If you get really stuck, David Silver Spares in the UK always have comprehensive stocks of useful Honda bits and pieces.

Alternatively, fibreglass replacement panels can be bought in the UK from Skidmarx . Not the only place - but they seem to be the cheapest. Replacement fairing panels are around £86.

Who sells clear stock sized windscreens for a 1986 VFR? Looking at the links it seems they are more touring screens.

MRA sells windscreens (twisted throttle sells them), and decals can also be got from www.cbdecals.com. I used them for the decals for the 1000F and 1000R.
