Need a measurement please
It seems i have a set of aftermarket rearsets on my bike. They force the bike into GP style shifting (1 up 5 down) I'm not to fond of it but i have no options at the moment due to the design of them, i'd have to go back to stock rearsets to get normal shifting, and those parts aren't the cheapest.
This is what they look like, and you can see how the linkage differs from stock. ![]() What i really need is a measurement from the stock shifter arm. I need the length from the center of the Shifter shaft to the center of the Shifter Peg. Essentially the length of the lever but from those specific points. Hopefully i can just purchase a stock shifter and lengthen it so i can reach it with these farther back rearsets. |

mmm from what I can tell in that photo, and if you haven't tried this all ready, is all you need to do is flip the shift lever off the shift pin 180 degrees making it point down instead of up to make it a normal 1 down 5 up

Tried that, it hits the mounting for the kickstand. Suprisingly enough, there isn't much room to fiddle with in there. Correct assumtion though, it would work if there wasn't a clearance issue.

Thank you very much!!!
I'm hoping to just pick up a stock shifter, lenngthen it if need be, and disable the aftermarket linkage/pedal with a spacer. Of course Stock rearsets would be preferrable but i haven't been able to find any really :/

Have you tried to turn it somthing like 130-140 degrees backvards, not 180. this should still work if the adjustment in the arm is enough, and hopfully give enough play to not hit the sidestand.

Where it needs to go is somewhere close to the 7'oclock position to work properly, but it has a clearance issue.
I won't say its impossible, but i haven't been able to figure it out from fiddling with it for hours
