Best Mesh for a small (5'6"-130#) guy?

Gettin' hot here in Albuquerque and am lookin' for some input from the expertise here on what brand (TourMaster, JoeRocket, FirstGear, etc.) fits small guys best AND is good quality.
Thanks all for your help.

I can't help you with the size question, but as far as quality I've had good experience with the Joe Rocket Phoenix mesh jacket and the Icon TiMax II mesh jacket. Safety wise, the Icon is quite a bit better I believe but you're also paying about $100 more for it.

If price is no object, the absolute best mesh you can buy is the kevlar Motoport stuff.

FYI - That "Product Specifications" in my post is actually a link to the Motoport line of kevlar mesh, can't figure out how to chang the wording on the link to make it more intuitive.

My summer jacket is a Joe Rocket Phoenix. I low sided at about 30 with it and it held up well. Newenough.com usually has some pretty good deals.

I have the Joe Rocket Alter Ego jacket. It is an all season jacket that in the summer time can uzip the inner & outer layers revealing a mostly mesh jacket. I have had it for 3 years now and I am a very slender guy (my waist size is about a 31) and it fits very nicely. However, I would have to say that mesh vs. any other form of jacket in a crash, the mesh will lose. It is nice though to have that wind blowing through the jacket on a real hot day while riding.

For a while Newenough had a sale on Joe Rocket Rio Mesh jackets in a Men's small for if I remeber right, 30 dollars? I just looked for it again, unfortunately it looks like they're out. :viff:

I'm 5'7" and have the Icon TiMax II and it fits very well...normally on jackets the sleeves are too long for altitude challenged guys, but it seems that Icon has sorted this problem. I recommend the TiMax II as a good mesh jacket that has good protection, at least as far as mesh is concerned.......
