Vemar Helmets ?

Anyone have any experience with Vemar helmets particularly the VSR ? I'm searching to replace my Arai Quauntum F. Looking to explore something different then the Arai, Shoei route that I always take.

Other's helmets I am interested in checking out are the Shark RSX, AGV Ti-Tech.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have a Vemar VSR and love it. It's a little noisy and tough to get visors. Visors are expensive too. I think I got mine through Sportbike Track Gear. A good friend of mine was a sales rep for different moto gear suppliers turned me on the the Vemar. I originally wore HJC helmets as they seem to be the best fit for my head shape. The Vemar VSR shell size that fits me is narrower and smaller than the HJC. It's also shorter front to back. I've recently purchased an HJC AC12 carbon and really like it but the finish is way better on the Vemar but I can't use my Chatterbox with the Vemar. I choose the one that suits the riding situation.

Bought The Vemar VSR

Thanks for the input on the Vemar...I found one at a great price from a guy selling them on Ebay that was local to me so I was able to try it on and get a feel for it. The front chin airflow lever was broken so he let me have the helmet for $100.00 I was able to order the new part from MotoNation for $12.00 I really liked the graphics as well...It fit's alittle snug compared to my Arai Quantum F but feels lighter on my head. I haven't tried on a ride yet I will be tomorrow.

Vemar VSR

I own a Vemar VSR and absolutely love it. Its ultra-light, is ECE approved (which, as far as standards go, is much higher than SNELL), and judging by the fact I got it on clearance a few years ago .. makes me really happy when i see the current $899 to $1000 price tag. I have an XL, which is slightly loose .. but not much. I dont think there is much difference in sound from the usual Arai/Shoei and the Vemar is MUCH, MUCH quieter than my Scorpion EXO. Finding spares though are a nightmare. Cost wise its exorbitant. A replacement visor sets you back $60-$100.

Vemar is owned by the same parent company that produces Sidi & Spidi, argueably, two of the best names in the business. I've only ever seen one of their helmets up close & it appeared to be of very high quality. When I asked the guy why he decided on Vemar, he said he did so just to be different. He said it is about the same noise level as the HJC he was wearing but very noticeably lighter.
