Givi topcase with Honda Side Cases?

Anyone seen/tried this set up?

I have a new '07
I like the matching honda side cases,
but i love my givi v46 topcase on my st1300.
(not thrilled about the honda topcase)

all the stuff i read, photo's i see here don't mix
the topcase with the side bags,
either honda top and honda sides
or
givi top with givi sides

anyone try this?

I should be able to do this with the motec alu-rack for the top case $150, but can't use passanger cowl

I think I could probably do it with the honda top case rack $250 since i'm guessing the honda top case is made by givi

just checking around before I try the alu-rack first

hope you're not in any rush to get the side bags; they're backordered out into August.

i just read the oem side case use the grab bar bolts

if the side case rack uses the grab bar bolts,
the top case rack uses the grab bar bolts,
the grab bar uses the grab bar bolts,
how long does the bolt need to be????
sheesh, sounds like my wife will have an arm rest.

A Givi rack won't fit because both points of attachment (grab handles and pillion pegs) are also used by the Honda rack.
You can fit an sw motech rack, though, to carry a Givi box. That only uses the grab handles so will work fine.

now i find someone saying;

"SEBSPEED
I could be mistaken, but I do believe the top box mount replaces the passenger grab handles, so I would assume that the spacers are no longer necessary.

Help: Mounting Oem Trunk With Sidebags - VFRD

so that might resolve the side case with the grab bars with the top case question for the oem top case mount

Once you start installing bags and cases, there's so much tubing back there your wife won't need the grab handles any more. There's plenty of places to grab on if she finds it comforting.
