Alpinestars Ridge Boots

I picked up a set of Alpinestars Ridge 9 boots last weekend. I chose these because they're unassuming (I don't need to look like a road racer), easy on-and-off, and they're waterproof. I've been pleasantly surprised at the improvement they've made in my riding comfort. The sole grips very well, so I can put my foot anywhere on the peg and it'll stay there. I don't worry so much about the road surface at stops, either. I can walk comfortably in them...they feel a little like moon boots. I'll need to put a more substantial insole in them, though. The one included doesn't do much. The velcro closures makes them very adjustable, and the lack of lacing prevents catching a loop on a shifter, brake, or peg and dropping the bike at an intersection. Oh, and these things didn't really cost much, comparatively. I've got $120 in them. Overall, no complaints.

I just picked up a pair of these boots myself, very comfortable boots, especially considering the price. If you are looking for some low cost boots these will not disappoint.

What kind of temperatures have you ridden in with them? I need some decent cold weather boots.

I've ridden in these when it was 28 degrees out, didn't have to worry about wearing 2 or 3 pair of socks like I did in the past, just one pair of good socks and my feet stayed warm.

I've had mine for around nine months now and love them. In the summer I leave the velcro a little loose at the top for some wind flow, winter cinch them down and they're nice and warm. I can walk around in them no problem now that they're broken in. On the bike they have a nice feel on the peg. All that for a buck and a quarter, and to think I almost dropped three bills + on a pair of Sidi's.
