Any one have one of these and how good do they work and look on our bikes.
Thanks for your help.

Got one and it looks great! Matte black finish is almost identical to the finish of the stock seat. All other VFR owners that have seen it say it matches the profile of the bike. It holds enough for a short weekend trip and can make small trips to the grocery store.

i've been watching a couple of theses on ebay for quite some time now but never got to buy. i'll wait for some more feedback and reconsider buying. i like the look and material.

I first cought a glimps on ebay then went to my trusted friend Denis Kirk and it was two bucks more; might try for a fathers day gift should be able to hint enough.

I really like this tail bag. Pricey, though. Think I'll wait a day or two and see if it's still whispering "buy me" in my ear.

I have never put mine on over the seat cowl but the pack is wide enough and the straps are long enough.
Doesn't look big enough to carry much, I cannot imagine it holds enough for a weekend (maybe two pair of underwear and socks and two Ts) or much groceries even (maybe bag of coffee beans, a can of spam, and maybe a couple bags of Top Ramen. Looks like it could hold a camera, a cell phone, car keys, sun glasses, maps, maybe a baseball hat too - might be usefull for a touring daytrip I would say.
I like the Axio tail bag, but I didn't want to have to order one and wait for it. I stopped at a BMW/Triumph dealer early this morning - they had no generic tail bags. I then stopped by my local bike shop after completing a 5-1/2 hour morning solo ride (it was great!).
They had three tail bags to choose from. I bought the Givi Voyager T439. Nice bag. A bit expensive, though. Expands to 35 liters. Lots of reflective material on it, which I like. Lots of zipper pockets, etc. Comes with a rain cover, shoulder strap, etc. Has a Velcro strap for under the seat mounting, plus four bungee hooks.
So far, so good. I'll load it up and give it a workout this week.
This one opinion is not flying with me, the axio held the following items on my last trip:
1 pair jeans
2 T shirts
2 pair socks
2 pair boxers
shorts
hat
phone charger
shave gel (sml.)
razor
tooth brush
tooth paste
body wash (sml.)
shampoo (sml)
deodorant

No camera???? you know, those small ones....try to bring one when you travel and share some pics.

if it will hold a bucket of kfc and 4 40's thats all i need
No it was not me but I saw the race on T.V. and now I wish I did go. Hacking put on a show of his own down there. There has been some talk around here about a road trip to see the museum, I hope something actually happens sooner or later.
i have one. I got the silver one and it matches the lighter 03 silver perfectly and the angles to it flow with the lines of the 6G. I mainly got it because i dont really take passengers and i think tank bags are useful but take too much away from the bike. I also hated taking it off everytime i got gas and hoping the magnets or pad didnt pick up anything that was going to grind on my paint.
It holds to the seat with velcrow straps. It pretty much coveres all fo the area that the cowl would have. I think i was able to get it on over it but since it was covered i figured no need to risk rubbing paint and took it off. I use it more for regular road storage than i do for other things.I usually bungie a duffle bag behind it (way out on the tail strapped to the grab handles) if im packing for a weekend.
In it regularly i keep.
gps
phone
lotsa bungies
tire plug kit
contact solution and case
fuses in a pill bottle
full RF1000 faceshield
faceshield cleaner
earplugs
bungie net that it comes with
reflective strap
kickstand puck
gas wiping cloth
headphones
wallet when im riding
glasses just in case
With all this, about 35-45% is left over. I can fit 2 full gauntlet gloves and still ahve some room on top of this.
The top shell keeps its pretty water tight but i could see the bottom getting wet if it sat out in the rain.
I'll try to snap out some pictures if anyone wants. let me know if you want any specific pics. I have a sargent, stock, and cowl. but i am pretty lazy so pick and choose your requests.
Here's a few pic's.
I have an 08' which is darker, but it matches the frame....![]()

WOW these tail bags look great.
Can you use them with a rack bag as well if you have no passenger?

Cool thanks Monk.
Might start looking into getting one.
Well I had to wait to order one for my bike; but I just picked it up.
I already love it it hold a pair of shoes for work and a small lunch no more back pack.

I guess I'll chime in here too, just got one 2 weeks ago, I like it as well.
Mine is blue, which is a little different shade than my RWB, but its close enuf not to look stupid IMO.
Holds surprisingly more than it looks, I use small bungee cords to strap mine down rather than the velcro.
A little pricey, but seemingly well made. I use mine over the cowl, works fine and I don't think it scratches the paint.
I would recommend.

It is about 2 shades darker then the orignal but it does come very close.
I am very happy it also holds 8 doughnuts in a bag morning rides are great.
