borg (07-03-2009)

Okay so first things first Borg should be back today so I'm relinquishing command to him.
Secondly I called Street Bikers Den and talked with Sarah regarding our seats. They have received the orders and the seats are enroute from Sargent to their Oregon address. Their expecting them to arrive late next week and they will be shipped direct via USPS to the address's after that. They said if anyone needs any further info to give them a call. They are very eager to make this group buy go successfully and are doing their best to make it happen quickly. Their also looking forward to any business relationships that are created from this group buy.
Oh and email confirmations and tracking numbers will be sent as soon as the seats are shipped from their Oregon store.

Thanks for the update Jason.![]()
OK, I'm back from camping.
Wow what a list!
From talking to the dealer, we have 12 people that have paid up. The seats have been ordered and will ship late next week.
I'm still trying to get an extension for the others that were not able to join the group buy this time out. I will post the result here if there is an extension.
Regarding the group buy, it ends today at 5PM pacific time, so get you orders in if you can.
This deal came about faster that I anticipated, it was not going to be finalized until today after my camping trip, but the dealer got a hold of me prior to leaving for my trip and I thought it would be best to get the group buy going asap. But now I feel like I did not provide enough information or details, for that I apologize.
I would like to thank jasonsmith for keeping this whole thing under control, good work js. Also thank you to the other members who sent PM's of the group buy details to the other members, well done everyone!
All we have to do now is sit and wait for the seats to arrive.

Thanks borg for organizing and especially JS for taking over - man you were busy!
If I understand this correctly. Payment must be received by 5pm pacific time today Fri Jul 3.
Just buy saying "I'd like one" or "I'm interested", doesn't really cut it.
It's not my call, but what would the harm be in posting the prices and the seller's paypal address. So the organizers don't have to send PMs.
I dunno...
(edit) oh ya, now I recall something about not posting "sale" prices. Always after I hit SEND! dooh

For those that had questions about the dealer, here's some info:
The Street Bikers' Den is an affiliate of The BIKERS' DEN and its other affiliates, The Dirt Bikers' Den, The Scooters' Den and the soon to be on line The Lady Bikers' Den.
Below is a write up from the Bikers' Den website.
The Bikers' Den is a Website that provides a wide selection of premium motorcycle products and accessories at great prices as well as useful information for motorcycle enthusiasts around the globe. We are a family owned and operated business and The Bikers' Den family is passionate about motorcycles and about serving the motorcycle community. Being riders ourselves, our goal is to make this site as biker friendly as possible. Our definition of biker encompasses all motorcycle enthusiasts regardless of what you ride or who you ride with.
The Bikers' Den was incorporated in 2003, a brain child of 2 good friends (with the complete support of their wives) who wanted an outlet for their love of motorcycles and the motorcycle community. Our headquarters are located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada although we have several affiliate warehouses in the United States from which we package and ship most orders. We are a company that is dedicated to providing the motorcycle community with quality motorcycle accessories and apparel at affordable prices.
As we continue to grow, we remain focused on serving our customers to the best of our ability. Husband and wife and owners of The Bikers' Den, Kurt and Sarah Laschuk, handle all customer service inquiries personally. We encourage you to contact us if you require any assistance. We are more than happy to answer any questions and listen to all suggestions.
I have purchased items from them for a couple of years and I'm extremely happy with their service and their competitive pricing. I've had no issues at all with any of the items I've ordered.
I just wish they were dealers for Dyno jet, Ohlins, Galfer and Yoshimura. But for now, I'm just glad they got to be a Sargent dealer.

:(Greetings ambit,
Thank you for your purchase from The Bikers' Den. I sincerely
apologize, however, we were mislead by the manufacturer and will not be
able to fill any orders for these seats for approximately 5 weeks. We
were under the impression that our order would ship immediately however,
due to stock issues the VFR series has to be made. We are looking at 4
weeks for production and another week for shipping. Please let us know
if you would like to stay on order and we will have your order shipped
as soon as possible. I look forward to your reply.
I'll hold out. 5 weeks isn't that long.
Stinky. I never received any such notice though ??
In any event, I'll hold out too. I've waited 3 years already.
That's not good. I did not receive a notice from them about any delays. If I do I will leave it on order. I have waited this long I can wait a little longer.

Was sent to me @ 2:38PM today from Jason @ Bikers Den
Must just be my silver welt holding up the order, lol![]()
OH SHITE!
I was hoping my seat would be in by the weekend for a planned ride to Tofino.....DAMN!
I didn't get an email regarding the delay but my guess is the whole order will be processed the same time. Oh well, I've waited 3 yrs already as well so another 5 weeks will be tolerable.
I'll see if I can get a hold of the owner to see what's up.

I didn't get anything either, nor did I get confirmation when I sent the payment. I might have to give them a call tomorrow myself. I'm more than happy to wait, just over a month isn't too long I guess.
I didn't receive a confirmation email either. I did check my Paypal account and they did get my payment.
