Tires in hand.. Great price.. Great deal.. I approve this message..![]()

That's a great deal - about $100 cheaper than Cyclegear's price. The only thing I'd check is the date (four digit number - week of the year it was manufactured) on the sidewall of the tire. The cynic in me would make sure they're not too old. If not, awesome find.
yeah let us know about the date
GO GATORS
Currently I have 5K on my PP 2's and will be needing a new set shortly. Thanks![]()
2008 HONDA VFR 800 #85

Nope, don't have any pics, but the link below has some. Scroll to the bottom.
How to read a motorcycle tire

img_0010.jpgwould this indicate that my tire was built the 27th week of 2008? My tires are Michelin power 2ct's
PC3(custom tune)
Motad Headers(Thermal wraped)
Jardine RT1 slipon
K&N
19mm tail rise plates
Sargent 2 peice seat
Pilot Power 2CT

yep, so they're not old. Supposedly 1-2 yrs old is ok, but when they are much older than that, the rubber has aged and may not provide the the same performance it was intended to. I don't exactly know how old is old, but If I were buying a tire, I'd hesitate to buy one that is older than 2 yrs old. I'd check for another one that is newer. Unfortunately, when you order online you don't know the "born on date."
I didn't know bout the date myself. Big thanks for that info..
Pics.....
Date numbers. 5008 is the front. (Just prior to x-mas. 08')
0709 the rear.. (Feb. 09') Correct??
Again.. Great deal i'd say..![]()

Yep, great deal. I wonder how long this deal will last.
