OEM hard bags

Just got a quote of 700 dollars for the 2003 oem hard bags. JUst wondering if this is a good value or if I should look into other bags like givi. I think these bags look the best. ANd i Know that 700 is 299 dollars less than msrp but It is still a lot of money. And I've spent enough on just purchasing the bike.

Re: OEM hard bags

Well, I stupidly spent full price for my OEM bags :'( back in Sept '02 when I bought the bike, but I do like them. I haven't seen the Givi bags in person so can't compare... Post your thoughts if you see them up close

Re: OEM hard bags

I have just seen pictures of them, and while I am sure they are rather good quality I think The Oem's look a lot slicker. Still have'nt decided yet though

Re: OEM hard bags

If you haven't looked at Corbin's matching hard case side bags ... check them out!! Very nice looking and they offer the best lines of any I've seen by far.

Re: OEM hard bags

A really good choice for hard bags is kappa bags. They are of great quality and at a really good price. You can check them out at www.kappamoto.com

Re: OEM hard bags

BigGuy,

Those are nice cases -- are you in the U.S.? What retailer/distributor did you purchase from?

Thanks

Re: OEM hard bags

woodcycle,

Unfortunately I live in Europe. If you visited the site you realised that kappa is an Italian brand. I thought that you might find them in US, like you can find Givi. You can email them to inform you if there is a distributor in US.

Hope you manage to get them.

Re: OEM hard bags

Hi Tripper,
Can you get the $700 price for other people? I'm interested in the hard bags, how much trouble would it be to contact the dealer and see if he will extend that deal to others? Who is the dealer and where is he located? Thanks
Keith
