Where do I find new dials?

Hi, all

I'm collecting an immaculate, red 1999 VFR on Saturday. I took one around New Zealand at Christmas and had to buy one now I'm back in London. I hate one thing about the bike...the dials and that geeky Times Roman bold italic they use. Can anyone recommend an aftermarket supplier for new dials (in the UK or US)?

Thanks

Steve, London.

Re: Where do I find new dials?

Lots of aftermarket suppliers for clock faces on F4s, Gixxers and R-1s, but none for the VFRs as they aren't squdly bikes. Hence, no need to squidify them.

If you hate the 1999's typeface, try and locate a set of clocks from a wrecked 2000 or 2001 VFR. They changed the typeface in 2000 to a different font.

The easy way to tell is if on the tach face, it has a stylized "VFR" logo kinda down and to the right of the needle pivot point. These are the restyled gauges.

You shouldn't have to change out the entire set of clocks, but rather transfer the (newer) clock faces to your gauge cluster. Darned if I know how as I've not had them apart myself.

Good luck!
