Painters in Pacific Northwest?

Hey, there. Not sure which forum this belongs in, but I am looking for a reputable painter in the Seattle-Portland corridor. I need someone to paint the front cowl and the right lower on my 2004 Italian Red VFR. Apparently the prior owner didn't realize that Honda paint codes are specific to the year of manufacture. The bodywork is very smooth. The re-paint is too orangey. Let me know . . . .

Jon,
No help finding a painter for you, but have you considered giving your VFR a retro paint job with RWB color scheme if you are going to incur the expensive of new paint? Believe a couple of member have done this. It would be a bit more money to paint everything but the original Honda colors have undeniable charm.
Cheers,
George

Yes, I have an old VF750F with a VF700F RWB paint scheme. Very cool! But I am looking for a good painter who will make my VFR 800i look stock Italian Red. Thanks, though.

Perhaps you are looking for someone that painted a VFR per se but as you know, there is no magic to a good paint job. Call around to local motorcycle shops and find out who they recommend....see some of their work and get a quote from each. Remove all the plastic pieces and being forearmed with exact paint code if you are going monochrome which will be cheapest...have at it. Base + clearcoat will provide the best gloss and longevity. Factory decals should be available and a good time to personalize the decals you want on your bike, i.e. different VFR decal...no tank or Interceptor decals...your choice there.
Good Luck,
George
P.S. Who painted your RWB bike? You have a picture of it?
