Tactical cold weather supression apperatus, team acquisition

I have been asked to do another group buy for OEM Honda heated grips from Japan. I am willing to do it, so long as there are enough people to make it worth while. Last time I had six orders, I need at least that many. Here's the particulars:

Cost is $160.00 USD. This is higher because last time I forgot to factor in shipping after they arrived from Japan.

Money would be required within 5 days of me sending you the purchase order. If you say your in- be ready. Payments will be collected through paypal or money order only. If there's a group of people who need more time I could do a second wave after a determined date.

This does not have a fast turn around time. Do not expect them soon.

The kit looks like it would work on virtually any bike, due to the connections being very universal. No cutting of wires is required. I might get one for my Dad's FZ1 or my riding buddies ZRX1200. I didn't even remove any fairings.

Everyone who got them last time loves them. Fit, finish, and function are on par with anything you get from Honda.

There is a built in circuit on the "five setting" thermostat to protect the battery from dying. They automatically shut off if the charging system is not making enough juice to support operation.

Thanks for throwing that out there. I wish you the best of luck in finding 3 more folks to complete your group buy. I attempted to generate interest in this about the 4-6 weeks ago and couldn't find any takers.

I'm kind of glad it worked out that way for me though, because it compelled me to find my own source in Japan, which I did. I was able to get the Grip Kit, Interruptor Harnesses and the Mounting Brackets for myself and JasonSmith. I now have made a great friend in Japan who is willing to assist me in getting just about any part I can find that is available in Japan.

I installed my kit a couple of days ago. I customized my wiring harness to make it fit better and a lot cleaner then how it came from Honda. You can check out some pictures of my final install in the "JasonSmith Pictures" thread. I will say they work pretty damn good, after I modified the harness the grips will stay on in the higher settings, while at idle, with the high beams on. I like the fact that they are on a switched circuit so that you don't have to worry about leaving them on and killing your battery. The component quality is typical Honda - very good.

They will work on a 5th Gen - You could make them work on just about anything I would think.

I can't emphasize this more. I could probably put this on my 1985 VF500C Magna, if the handle bars weren't so long......
