Blue Ridge trip 2008

Well one month after buying my 06 VFR my buddies and I went on a little trip. Left Chicago Monday morning about 0530 destination Gatlinburg. A minor delay when Cowboy's Ultra Classic had a flat front about 20 miles into the trip. After numerous HD jokes the problem was corrected and we were under way. What a great drive down to Gatilinburg! Next day on the Dragon which wasn't too crowded. Then onto the Blue Ridge south to North. We saw a couple of black bears prior to exiting the parkway near Ashville NC. By chance we found a state road in NC ( 151???) off the parkway near Ashville which was completely insane! Like a downward corkscrew in the dark with the road covered in debris. . Made it into Roanoke then onto Skyline Drive. Then a final Mad Max type ride to Pittsburgh for a Primanti sandwhich. Go to the original in the City. Last day about an hour in the rain then clear sailing back to Chi-Town. Five days Ten States 2200 miles obeying all speed laws!! I was the only VFR on the trip two 08 Wings a HD bagger and a 1500 Vulcan. Bike handled great but need bar risers and new seat!!

Ride it dont hide it
