87 vfr750 seat removal

I feel like an idiot asking this, but can anyone fill me in on how to remove the seat on an 87 vfr750. I bought the bike and do not have the manual yet.

Put the key in the helmet lock and turn it anti clockwise. You will feel a little resistance and hear a slight click as you release the seat latch. Lift the rear of the seat and pull it backwards, job done.
