Official VFR sighting thread - Page 5

Had a fun sighting last night. I saw a red 5th Gen leaving the shopping center at about 6:45 pm last night (10/2/08, Tucson) at Ina and Oracle. We ran a few errands in the truck and at the second errand saw the same bike parked at the Trader Joe's parking lot on Oracle. I left my biz card on it along with my VFRWorld name. I wondered if it was a member. Any takers?

I'd only seen one fifth gen around where I live in Franklin county MA.
A Yellow one. Unfortunately I saw it recently in the paper.
The victim of a guard rail incident.
It said the guy was treated and released but the VFR was DOA.
Not far from where a young guy died on a speed triple this past spring.

Had my first sighting other than my one friend that rides a 4th gen. Was on my 5th gen staring at the light, you know making it change with mind power lol...and i hear some gear driven cam whine crossing past me...Look up to see a purty red 6th gen. Needless to say i stalked him for a minute and said hi at a red light. He was cool about it, nice guy. Saw him in newport, ky but he had ohio plates, doubt hes on here.

i saw a red and black like my 4th gen on hwy no.1 inbtween west coulmbia and lexington sc hope to meet the other vfr i thinks its loc`al also

I saw a White 6th gen with hard cases at my local KFC yesterday. Wish I was on my bike so I could have spoke with him. I'd have felt silly in my wifes Accord.

Today (10/05/08, 2pm), at San Francisquito and Copperhill in Saugus, CA... saw a silver 6th gen riding two up.. making a left to go canyon carving. Anyone here?

Saw another VFR in Manhattan, KS today, this poor one was standing off of the bike talking to the kind police officer that pulled him over... red vfr, I think 4th or 5th gen (don't know much about the newer ones)

There are a total of 4 or 5 different VFR's i've seen around, i'm surprised we don't have one hanging around here...

Maroon colored 6th gen San Diego, CA. Miramar Road. I saw him a few times last week, he must get off the same time I do (6 PM).

Just realized i said 6th gen in my post...was a red 5th gen just like mine, still doubt its anyone that into vfrs, seems like he didnt know what he had or didnt care lol.

I've been seeing a '07 RWB w/ bags, just like mine, parked at a auto body shop on 6th Ave in Tacoma, WA. Last week I decided to stop by and meet the bike's rider. His name is Glenn, and I gave him the address to this web site. Hope he visits.

Damn. Just got my VFR and saw two. On my way out to Seacoast Sport to look at some new gear. One last night in Derry, NH I think it was a black 6th gen. The other also in Derry NH, red, not sure which gen. Anyone here?

Yellow 5th gen and an old tricolour, at the Deep River Tim Horton's, today. That was the first time I've seen a live VFR older than a 6th gen.

Also saw a red 6th gen with bags on the TransCanada Hiway 17 near Arnprior. I was in my turbocage.

Red 6th Gen, Elizabeth City, NC, RT 17 on a draw bridge at 12:30 PM. Sept 27. Most likely not one of us because he wasn't wearing protective gear.

Saw a red 5th Gen travelling west on State Bridge Road on Saturday morning close to P'Tree Industrial . Rider was wearing a silver helmet and gray textile jacket. Anyone here?

Well, I saw some guy on a red 4 gen, in Ocean Beach (SD, CA) Saturday 7/12/08 around 2pm dressed in only tank top, shorts, and flops. Needless to say, I did not feel the urge to leave him a VFRW card.

Frenchtown, NJ. About 10:30 am on Sunday, October 12th.

Not only did I spot another VFR, but I got to spend a minute chatting with the owner. I saw his 2000 Yellow parked, so I had to park right next to him, considering mine is yellow also. No sooner do I have my helmet off than he shows up. We had a nice chat.
Never got his name, or if he is on this sight.

Let him hop on my bike for a moment since he had a stock seat and I have a Corbin, just so he could get an idea of how the Corbin feels.

He questioned about my my (supposed) Race Tech, but alas, I had to inform him it was only a sticker that the previous owner had placed on the bike.
