So Long VFRWorld
This is my good bye to the forum (standing ovation from the 6th gen crowd just roared & Squirrellman
).Though I have owned & still own many Honda V-4's, I have just found that it's just not for me on here, I bring millions of miles & hundreds of owned bikes experiance to the thread, & now leave with it. Can't point out the sad news to those that plumped hard earned cash on a awsome looking bike thats out-dated & under performing to be insultive to the Honda name. I explain to deaf ears, & they even band together for comfort to hide there misery, to find agreement amongst themselves that the did buy the right bike Right ???? (wrong, when there is better & more reliable out there in comparison).I choose to no longer argue & point out facts vs the desperat passion of others stuck in that payment plan of painful truth. I hung in there for info & possible rides, but after my daughter asking me today of the truth I already know about my VFR 6th gen of, can we sell it & get a "real" performing ST bike now. I told her to wait one more year to the song of "IF" Honda goes back to making a real V4 or V5 that I'll buy that & she can have the Sprint. That put a smile on her face & actually mine, as she just confirmed what I new all along . So with no fan fair I bid ado, & ride AGATT & safe! I hope you 6th gens are paid off in time for a trade in, to the 2nd coming of a real V4 if it happens. Taz out ![]()

Mr Taz,
That is unfortunate, as you do have a wealth of knowledge of bikes, and lots of miles logged...however, that is your prerogative as well. I will say, you are not out looking to make friends with your departure statement sir. I wish you the best, and I hope you that you find the ultimate bike of the God's that you are looking for. Lamps to you! ~Jason

Good luck on the road ahead Taz. Keep the rubber side down, and , oh yeah, don't let the door hit you on the butt on your way out!

Thought at first it was April 1 again but saddly not...
![]() Its a shame Taz, even if I thought your signatures 6th Gen line was needlessly inflammatory your comments and contributions to any thread were always considered and worth a read. Hopefully you will have a change of mind after a little break or return full bore when the 7th Gen finally appears. ![]() |

Taz you crack me up. I get that you dislike 6th gen bikes, but their are all kind of people out there and some of them actually like their 6th gen bikes. Those same people are going to bite back when you dog something they like. You seem like a decent guy with a wealth of bike knowledge; good luck and ride safe.

Taz,
I wish you well on whatever you ride, wherever you ride, and whatever forum (new or old) you join. I think, though, you will find that there ill be disagreement (and agreement) between owners where different models (generations) of bikes exist. Just because there is disagreement does not mean that the bikes are not good (even if Mr. Honda refuses to listen to those who are faithful to an apparent dying breed of machine). You knowledge and input will be missed. |

The problem is not that you have an opinion Taz, the problem is that you force it on everyone as if your opinion is the only opinion. That leads me to believe that you really don't give a crap about anyone other than yourself. I believe that you have a lot of experience and lots of wisdom, it's too bad that you don't know how to share constructively. If your leaving cause nobody is accepting your opinion it's your fault, but being the way you are I guess It's our fault.

Taz thanks for all the great info and lessons learned. Personally I do not need someone else to like what I like to feel comfortable with it. I fully understand that some people are on a different skill level and their needs change and are different sometimes. If you are ever in NC post up, I would love to ride with you. God bless and keep rollin.

Well,
I wasn't going to reply, because I'm done, & still am done. Sorry I bashed the 6th gen in a rant, & actually, other than my signiture, I've been quite about it for a while & if I replied it would be with a taped over mouth smiley. To each his own, hell I ride Harley's, Norton's, BSA's, Old Triumphs (& new ), vintage old Honda's Kawi's Suzuki's & other Europes bikes. & know there inferier to modern bikes, Some even in modern form. I had already planned on bailing & a certin someone just set me off with there comments (No not Jason aka Derstuka) & I bailed early & with a rant brought on by his ignorance of M/C's & the lingo that goes with it. I'll be around, albeit not on this forum, & if you see a guy on a Sport Tourer in the dead of winter with it snowing , well it might be me - I always wish all well & ride safe (even the guy that set me off) ![]() C-Ya Ok maybe not squirrellman, he can F.O.A.D. ! But I'll Fence with him on the Hawk forum

I think you should stick around and start a support group, with RVFR, for under appreciated members who don't own 6th gens, but that's just my opinion.........Good luck, sometimes a man's gotta do what he's gotta do......

Holy crap, what an ego!
As a relatively new 6th gen buyer (and yes, I too paid cash) there was a 101 reasons why I decided on the 6th gen as there is proabably 101 reasons why other people buy different bikes.."too each thier own". I have owned a Yamaha FZR750 and a 81 Triumph Tiger and now the VFR. Each bike I have enjoyed immensely, for differnet reasons and each one is like "chalk & cheese" to the next. I feel attitudes like yours Taz are like those of the Harley riders who are too staunch to acknowledge another biker on the road..tossers! We ride what we ride! Quote:
When you find that "perfect" bike, send me a PM so I can be humbled in your presence. |
