aftermarket questions

Having finally fallen victim to the charging system problems that so many VFR's have become notorious for, I have decided that in addition to just beefing up my charging system, I am going to replace both the stator and regulator/rectifier, as I have found heat damage to both, and if I'm going to re-do the charging system, I might as well do it all the way.

What I need to know though, is what options I have for aftermarket stators and regulator rectifiers? I have heard some shady thing about a stator company called Electrostart (or at least I *think* thats the name of that company), and I'm basically looking to take from the experience any VFR owners might have from using aftermarket versions of either of these.

Try Rick's Motorsport Electrics. They had a stator and an R/R for my 93. They also have resonable prices. The R/R was a befier unit than OEM or the one that was on my bike when I got it.
