Bestem Liners

I purchased pannier liners s well as an ST1300 top box liner from Bestem (Bestem USA - Bestem Powersports or osCommerce).

The side liners are extremely well designed. They are almost as thoughtfully designed as my Victorinox luggage items. The zippers open from one end almost to the bottom of the other end of each bag to give completely unfettered access. When the bags are zipped up, they have a velcro strip at the front end. Underneath the front flap is a zippered net storage area. They do come with shoulder straps (one bag was missing a shoulder strap, though)

I used one of the bags to store my tools and odds and ends when installing sliders and HIDs last weekend. They worked beautifully. I had the bags half-stuffed with plantains on Thursday, and I know I could have put in a whole lot more stuff. These bags for me, make the difference between having all my scatter every time I open my panniers and being able to add far more junk in a better organized manner.

The side bags do fill out most the pannier as advertised. I haven't tested the expansion limits of the bags yet, but I did have put in a little effort when trying to close the box with all the plantains in there, so as most of you know, over-stuffing won't be a problem. The insides of the bags are made with some kind of plastic. It looks like should liquid spill in them, it will not seep out. I haven't verified this, though (in no hurry to find out).

I took some pictures of the ST1300 top box liner. I haven't used or even tried it yet. I can say that overall, the full set will be able to pack enough clothes and junk to last for at very long road trip. I am very pleased with the set, and I VERY HIGHLY recommend them.

I have full sized pics at Picasa Web Albums - Mike - Bestem VFR800....

Please give me some feedback, folks.

Thanks for an excellent review, it's a big help. I'll order a set in the next couple of weeks...

I have been using them for a few months. Bought them on ebay.

The fit is almost perfect as far as the shape of the saddlebags. I don't have the top box yet
