Speed Bump During Frame Slider Install
Hey I got my bike on Thursday night and took it out for a about a 2 1/2 hour ride today and it was totally awesome. :-)
I'm doing to necessary modifications to install the Motovation frame sliders on the bike. On the right side the, non coolant bottle side. There is an electrical component that is attached to a hose. This component bolts right next to and on top of the engine to frame bolt that will be replaced as part of the frame slider kit. It is defininetly in the way and I am certain that I'm looking at the right mounting location for the frame slider. I have not read of the part on any of the installation instructions that I've seen, nor have I seen it in any pictures. It will have to moved and modified to facilitate the frame slider installation. Now my bike is the 2003 ABS version. Might this have something to do with it, an extra component related to the ABS system? There is only one other thread on the forum about this component, one member asked what it was and then said he figured out a way to modify and relocate it. He never identified what the part did and no one else responded to the thread. The part has the following markings: DENSO 136200-1330 PCS5 I looked this up on google and the only hit I got was on an Acura Integra forum where a guy was asking what the part was, and it looked similar to my own. But, again no one positively identified the part though one or two people speculated that it was PCV valve. I've posted some pictures of the oddball part below. If anyone can tell me what this part is and what it does I would appreciate it. I would also like to know why it doesn't seem to exist on any other year except the 2003. I will be proceeding with my frame slider install tomorrow, since I already have an idead on how I can relocate it slightly and modify it to fit in the remaining space.

Don't look it up on Google, look it up at Service Honda, or here, in the service manual. The service manual for the 6th gen machines is downloadable from this site. Utilize your available resources and you will be a ton happier. best of luck.

FYI, for anyone else's future reference. There is a triangular mounting frame bolted onto the back of the part. Once I removed the mounting frame it fit nicely in a cavity just in front of an slightly below the frame slider. I was able to zip tie it in place and have not had any problems yet. The tube it is attached to is now a little longer than necessary, but it fits within the space available.

I zip-tied mine also. No issues to report.

Another thing you can do is use the bolt for the fairing mount on the left, put it through the upper left bolt hole in the triangle bracket. It's bolted in place, won't move, and does not get in the way of the fairing. Sorry close-up pics were taken at night with a flash light.
