2nd gen exhaust gaskets

Hey guys and gals,
I found a set of stock cans for my 86 VFR700F that are pretty clean and much better shape than my scratched exhaust cans (former owner). Good price also, they went to a 4 into 1 system. The bike has 17,000 miles on it and I was wondering if I need to order new exhaust gaskets. They are expensive at about 10 bucks a pop. Would need the 4 for the header to exhaust pipes and another for the cross over. $50-$60 shipped. What are the chances of being able to use the stock ones? I'd hate to pull them off, and then be down for a week or two cuz I have to wait for them to be shipped. I have never see one so I do not know what to expect. Your thought and experiences would be appreciated.

I might not be following you correctly but you sould only have to replace the two seals where each muffler conects to the exhaust; uless you remove the whole ssytemt you don't need to repalce the seals at that end. I have hed better luck reusing muffler seals that any of the other exaust seals,

Exhaust gaskets

On each side of the bike, at just below the swing arm, 2 header pipes connect into a Y, that goes to one muffler on each side. At that joint, there are 2 gaskets (upper and lower) for a total of 4. There is also a fifth gasket on the cross over pipe.

Is there any chance of re-using these gaskets if I install the new (but less used) mufflers I am getting tonight?
