I remember back when I was assembling race engines, occasionally one of my friends
would stop by and would always want to help. I really didnt like for him to do so and he knew it,so he would always bust my balls, I would say something like; what did you torque that bolt to? and his response was " strip and back an eighth " . At least it was funny then! eddie |

LOL it's alot , Ha Ya know, I don't believe many will torque em down, as how many here have a $200+ torque wrench? I do, but not worth the trouble IMO, I've done way to many not to know, has anyone tried to get them off at 80lbs? be interesting to do a reverse torque reading to know how tight they really are. I use the ole yep that tight all right method. I agree to the tighter is better, but there's a limit in common sense too. be interesting to know how many of the 4 are tight vs snug too. Still say Honda should have used the RC hub here Single Nut for the win!

I dont have a torque wrench so I just snug them up nice and even and then questimate about 100 pounds and put about 82% effert X 3 times each in a counter clockwize pattern say a prayer and ride it easy for the firt 65 yards. Sometimes I check it again after a little ride.
