Interesting...even more so if not for the mourning I find myself in over the current non-superbike status of the new VFR.

I subscribe to a couple of British mags that have discussed similiar issues. I'll see what I can do to get them posted.

your right, its missing pages 078 & 079.(plus an extra page on 084 which is a side bar to the story 'race...bikes for the road').

i have that issue, its from PB issue August 2009.

infact the whole issue was a rreally good read and had lots of interesting stories.

the editorial team has just changed...i think for the better.

I don't understand why the magazine bothers to compare a stock RSV4 to a race tuned RC45? I wonder how much the race upgrades costs on that bike? Not taking away anything from the RC45, I would bet you could take that RSV4 and spend 1/2 the amount on parts and out perform the RC45 if you wanna compare apples to apples.

LOL they list the prices $ 9,000.00 just for the front end.
but nice to know that an old honda, even if you have to put big $$$$ into it ( it should have been closer to kit form stock IMO ) can rip it up against the new tech bikes.

I would say that a race outfitted RVF is apple to apple with an RSV4 as the newest RVF is 10 years older and was designed 15 years ago. Let's face it the RVF had some room to improve upon while the RSV4 comes stock with just about everything a growing boy needs.

I have much respect for the RSV4. It is cool to see them side by side. How fun would it be to own both?
