Dyno and more
Well back from the shop with a major going over and a couple of dyno runs to see how it all went. First off this is a 32K checkem out. I've always felt she's been running just fine till the other day one for some reason out of the blue she had an awful idle wouldn't run worth crap down low, but once up to speed all was fine. thought okay, time for some plugs and maybe she had a bout with bad fuel. So a quick change of plugs showed #3 was not doing so well (see thread on plug change) any way figured since the weather was lousy I'd just take her in as it was close enough to do a whole check up.
First run on the dyno to see how she's been doing produced a best run of 97.1Hp with two others at 96.4 and 96.7 and this was with the weird off idle thing, so was thinking not to bad for running not so great. So off I went back home. later I called to she how things where going, and to my surprise they where almost done. valves all check out to be just fine with 11 being spot on, one sort lose but with in limits as where a couple others not lose but with in limits, Good ole Hondas, Then the carb issue. turns out, apparently there's these little rubber plugs in the intake track at the base they use for hook up testing equipment ha ha, one of them was gone. that would explain the sudden not so run well. So that was a relieve to know nothing major. So off to the dyno to see how these all went two passes of 97.7 97.8 so Hmm not the 100Hps I was looking for but oh well gives me a reason to work on fine tuning my riding skills ![]() ![]()
