Sorry about the bike. Hopefully you can get something out of parting it out.

I am filing for fraud insurance through eBay. If I get something back, I might try to have carbs rebuilt. Rig had an engine fire in the last couple years. It might have sucked in unfiltered air.

Had you just bought it off E-Bay? Sometimes you can make good money back by parting it out yourself. There are a lot of people looking for parts for these bikes. The heads and cams are very valuable. It's just hard watching the UPS man take your beloved bike away one piece at a time.

That is one option. Craigslist as a parts bike is another.

I have to wait for eBays decision. But That is is on my mind. I am not done with interceptors by any stretch. I just took it in the shorts on this particualr rig. Hell, If I get something, I might get it fixed.

These are great bikes. I rode my '83 Interceptor 3000 miles in 9 days with no problems at all. I think you just had a big glob of bad luck. You might luck-up and find some of the parts you need on E-Bay.
