By the way, the trip report was pretty anti-climactic. We started pretty late, so hit a lot of traffic. By the time we got to Julian we decided Palomar just was not going to happen. My friend did however get a ride on the BMW GS1200, so if you're interested, he has a review on his website KosherBurrito.net

Sorry for the last minute notice. My first name is John and the moniker namaishi is actually a Japanese pun on words. I lived in Japan a couple years and minored in Japanese in college. My last name is Livingston and so I use the characters "living" 生 (nama) and "stone" 石 (ishi).

Anyways, I'm usually up for a ride on the weekend, especially if we start early. I usually go with my brother who has an R6 and have a couple friends at work with various bikes: VStroms, Bandit, Tiger.

Hello. I bought a 07 25th Anniversary Edition a couple of weeks ago right after riding friend's 'Ceptor. I had forgotten how sweet a V-Four motor is (I owned an '84 VF500F) and could not help myself ;) .

I go riding with friends up in the mountains (Palomar, Julian, Laguna, etc...) almost every weekend, and would enjoy riding with other VFR riders.

Thanks for the info and invitation scubalong. The party sounds like fun. Unless something comes up I will be there. I assume dressing as a motorcycle racer is out of the question :)

I am actually planning on a ride to Palomar tomorrow 10/4 if anyone's interested. I will be meeting a friend who's getting to test ride a BMW GS1200 for 24 hours. We are meeting at 10 in Ramona at the Star Gas Station (used to be Mobil). We will then head up to Palomar. I live in Scripps Ranch, so will be heading out via Poway Road, so I can meet around the 15 and Mira Mesa exit if you're interested in going out together.

There is a small chance we'll cancel due to the weather, so be sure to e-mail me if you're interested and I'll keep you posted.
