Greetings from Seattle!

Hello!

I'm new to the forum, but not to VFRs. My first ride was a blue 1983 CB1100F bought in 1990. In 1992, I traded it in for a 1990 VFR 750 (Red w/ white rims) and had a Two Bros left side pipe installed. That was the baddest sound ever! Unfortunately, I sold the VFR when I moved (needed the money).

I recently got a new job that was further away. I lost my great bus access and my carpool partner. :) Lucky me, I was able to convince my wife that I needed a motorcycle for the commute. My 2 choices came down to a VFR or a 2003 CBR1100 Blackbird w/ only 7000 miles. Man! Tough decision!

Obviously, I joined VFRWorld. I bought my silver 2005 Interceptor 800A w/ 3400 miles on Saturday. It had 2 things going for it: the anti-lock brakes for the Seattle rain, and that awesome V-4 sound. It has the tall Givi windscreen and a Givi trunk box. I'll be looking for a new seat and some side bags for the future. I got a little surprise this week when I took the seat off to read the owner's manual... I found a Power Commander III USB under there, too! Bonus! ...She's got a few light scratches on both sides from the previous owner's garage floor, but, then I don't have to worry about messing it up...

I'm ready to ride, rain or shine. Just let me know. Although, I will have to clear it with The Better 3/4 first. I don't want her to feel that "the mistress" comes before The Wife. :)

Enjoy The Ride!
Jason Whittecar

congrats on a pretty bike! It looks like it will be a perfect compliment to the winter sky above Seattle

tough choice on the bike, but you score bonus points with this forum when you buy a VFR.

Now you'll just need rain gear

Welcome...

Great bike! Say, can you recommend a good Honda service center in the Puget Sound area?

Well more or less a personal opinion, Brothers in Bremerton is the best. Besides the fact they have the #1 tuner for VFR's there as in Mr. Mike Valasco.

Here he is working mine on a dyno

Washington VFR brother, as far as the seat goes diffently get the Sargent
http://www.sandhillspowersports.com/...t_hondavfr800i

Since you ride rain or shine and might be in need of raingear, I have a California buddy who's trying to sell his once used rain gear cheap, let me know if your interested.
