New biker girl

Hi everybody,

My name is Megan, and I have been lurking around this site since last year now...that is, after I rode a friend's 2007 VFR800....I loved the bike and the V-4 power. I live in SLC, Utah, and I currently ride a 2000 ex500 here and there. I just got my motorcycle endorsement last year. The only picture I have on a bike is of me on a friend's cruiser bike in a parking lot. I wear a jacket (so please save the preaching), but I took his bike around the lot for a ride. I did not like it really. Too heavy and slow for my taste. I would like someday to sell the ex500 and get a VFR...probably an older one, because I cannot afford a new one. Hope you guys don't mind if I stay around and learn more about VFR's on here!

you hang out all you like, just be prepared to put up with us basement dwellers who happen to be cool enough to ride VFRs. I was gonna say something about the jacket, but you redeemed yourself.

Welcome Meg, girls/women are always a welcome site, good to read you know whats what, just be on the look out for Stuka, Joey and Nozzle, they'll make your leg raw, Get a hold of VFRshorty she'll help you out there. Keep an eye out for a VF500, they are a pretty good ride still today, just getting harder to come by and also do not dismiss the VFR cousin the 650 Hawk thats a great bike too. cya around.

Hey Meg! Glad to see another girl sign up. RVFR was right - some of the guys on here will make your leg raw, but they aren't so bad. I hope you stick around for a while!

Since you're from SLC do you know of any motorcycle/car events going on there in the fall? My friend was telling me of some really cool events there and we might fly there this fall.

Welcome to the group Meg. Glad to have you with us. Hopefully you will get your very own VFR soon. Don't worry about the fact that you now ride and EX500, they are great bikes to learn on before moving up to something larger.
