Another new PDX member

Hey all. Found this thread while looking to see what some of the hardware options for my bike are. Noticed righ away that theres some Oregonians here.

So, last week I purchased a 1986 VFR700F2. I've never owned a sport bike before, but I;ve got to say, they are a lot of fun. The guy I bought the bike from was planning on being around all summer, and had the bike ready to go for the season, so I got to take it out on the road last weekend. My g/f and I rode from Portland down to salem (looking for sunshine) then headed east into the hills and spent the day getting to know my new baby. We stayed he night in Salem and then headed back to P town on Sunday, taking the extremely scenic route. Sunday afternoon I took a run on Germantown Road and then stopped for lunch downtown. Saw lots of bikes out there, and I am thinking its goig to be a really really fun summer. Looking forward to saring the road with you all!

Welcome to the forum Tommy! It was great to meet you and your wife Becky! Thanks a lot for showing up at the VFRW dinner meet up! Your stories were cracking me up! I love the living above the warehouse, and the british grenades stories.

Hey, thanks 'stuka. We had a great time too. I'm glad you two had such a good time up here.

One of these days I'm going to have to tell you about the donkey cart. No this particular one, but one just like it.
