Hi guys,
Well I finally made the jump and bought a VFR. A red '99 to be exact. I have been looking at them for a long time and a deal came up on CL here in Denver that was too good to pass up. Looks a little more comfy than my TL1000R ;-)

Well I hope to learn a bit here and figure out what mods I can start playing with!

Welcome to the forum! We have great taste in bikes as we can see. I bought my '99 off craigslist too with only 1,700 miles!!

My 5th Gen was a 1999 model that I bought new. It is a great bike. You're going to love it. I had no problems with mine. Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the group and congrats on your purchase of machine that has proven itself over time. Be sure to use the search feature to find out about different mods and if you can't find it just ask, someone is sure to know.

Welcome to the group Musashi! This forum in my opinion is the best one out there on the web. I was not impressed with VFRD, and the people here are just awesome and so easy to get along with. There is a ton of usefull info and everyone is so willing to help out also. You will love your new ride and did well by choosing the VFR.

Wow what a response! I am hoping to learn a lot here. The bike is pretty much stock besides a set of risers on the clip-ons, probably better that way(to start with at least). Kinda funny that I bought a bike that is older than the last one I had new(2000 TL1000R), oh well when a good deal comes by you have to get a jump on it. Time to dig into it this weekend and see what can be done
