previous lifer of gixxers4ever club LMAO
So I sold my last Gixxer project/riding bike in the fall of 2007. Dead set against getting another one unless I am teaching someone to ride ;). That being said, I am on the 4th year of my search for an outstanding VFR within my price range (which I won't say). I have figured out that the only way to get a VFR is by only a few key ways.
1. Buy a new one ![]() 2. Buy a wrecked one and fix it up ![]() 3. lay in wait until your buddy falls asleep and steal his ![]() 4. (sadly) hope that someone needs to sell for other reason beyond their control ![]() 5. hope to find a bike for sale within your price range and pray you're not too old when you see this happen 6. be the best friend you can be and get on your buddies will for the next time he crashes and just doesn't make it out alive-but by then it'll be so f'ed up who'll want it ![]() So seeing all of this, 'z there one around my area that is within my price range so I may finally be riding this lovely machine-btw kudos to engineering team- desperately seeking vfr, taglicious |

Hello and welcome Tag......sorry, not in your area, but keep an eye out on Craigslist, and the local ads for a viffer.

Viffer :-(
saw on here someone has a post for a '93 and was trying to pm him? maybe I scared him? 2100 is his price and I like the price! I would like some help getting in touch with him. I know that the newer ones are great(I like the body style of the '99-'02 (skip the '03) then the '04 is nice as well... The design has gone a little array since then so 3rd gen in decent shape would be a great starter... I want to get one that I can immediately tear down and get paint process and parts upgrade going... showbike mentality (but still rideable so the lower price and the bettr running, the better I feel about it... A little work is fine but damn I don't want to rebuild yet another motor... sick of it already. Time in the shop has totally outweighed my riding. So I am done. Have turned all my friends to the local shops and uh ah no more for me... I seem to have lost my tools
Thanks guys for the heads up hope to be seeing a bike soon... TAG |

THANKS for the reply...
That's exactly where I found it. I am looking for a 3rd GEN (no newer than 93)and a 5th gen ('98/'99 only) or a 6th gen ('04 only) But at the same time.. I am not spending more than 3200 + or -... depending on my mood ;) I jus have some standards and being able to work on my own stuff, really puts me in a greedy position. I just know what I am going to do to it, and what I expect to get for the money... I know I shouldn't be this way, but I am going to (first thing) tear into it and make some subtle changes... hee hee Thanks guys for al your help.. still looking... ![]() Last edited by TAGLICIOUS; 10-24-2008 at 08:09 AM.
