First Greetings from Del Mar, CA

Hello everyone, I am Monsterkami and I ride a pearl white 06 ABS VFR. I have been making some mods to my bike and will be posting some photos when I make more progress. So far I have added to or changed the factory parts with:

- Matching White Honda panniers (side and top mount)
- Pazzo Levers (I love them)
- Custom tail job with hinged license plate bracket and PUIG LED lights
- Thicker Gel grips
- Bar end weights (soon to change again)
- Keiti tank protector
- CF gas lid protector

I am waiting for:

- Metzeler Sportec M3 tires
- CF rear huggers
- CF dash and yoke covers (thanks to winaje)
- Sargent seat with pearl white welts
- Zero Gravity Smoke Double Bubble screen

And hope to order:

- ThrottleMeister
- Exhaust upgrade (have not decided which one yet)
- Sato rearsets
- Accessory Mount for GPS and other
- GPS for touring

I have had the bike for about three weeks and it has been a real joy. My other bike is a 2009 Ducati Monster 696 which I also love a lot as it has a totally different look, ride and feel.

I ride one of my bikes pretty much on a daily basis and like to take to the local mountains with a friend or two on the weekends. Very soon, as I find more time, I hope to start touring with my VFR.

Please feel free to contact me if you want to get together and ride.

Regards,

MonsterKami

Hey Monster, is your "hinged" license plate one of those ones you can flip up with a switch?

Thank you

Thank you all for a warm welcome. I am leaving for Vegas on my VFR (taking the back roads) this Thursday AM and will be back on Sunday. Hopefully a few of us can go on a nice fun ride the weekend after. My best friend Rey, who also owns a VFR, may join us. Usually, we head out for breakfast at Lake Henshaw or Julian and then come back on one of several ways. On occasion we make it longer and spend the whole day on the saddle.

Regards,

Kamran

Hinged plates and more

Regarding my hinged license plate holder, it is not electronic and is intended to make it easy for reaching the screws that hold the luggage rack to the tail plate. I loosen the two allen screws on the hinges and the plate hinges down exposing the 4 screws. It is functional.

As for watching the blue VFR behind me, this particular VFR is always in the front. It belongs to my best friend Rey who just joined the board (honda-cbr-vfr). He is a great rider and my motorcycle master :)

Finally regarding Vegas, it is true that what happens there stays there. It happens to me every time :) But seriously, I intend to go riding everyday towards the dam, grand canyon, lake mead and other scenic places. I will share the great moments in person with you all and make sure to take lots of photos to show.

Hope you all have a great rest of the week and weekend.

Kamran
