Salutations from the Peach State
Hey everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself as a new VFR World member, new VFR owner, and new rider. I recently purchased, and will be taking delivery of later this week, a red 2003 VFR800A. I believe I got a good deal on it. I paid $4000 for it and it only has 9000 miles on it and it has never been crashed or dropped.
I am a new rider and this is my first bike. I'm a cautious person and I don't plan on doing anything stupid on it. I've already taken the MSF BRC. I also have already purchased all my gear. I've got an ICON Airframe helmet, Teknic Supervent jacket with CE armor in the back, shoulders, and elbows, JR Phoenix pants with CE armor in the knees and dual foam pads on the hips, Teknic Speedstar gauntlets, and I'll be wearing my Redwing steel toe boots. I'm working on losing weight so hopefully by next summer I'll be ready to purchase a leather jacket and pants. I just ordered a set of Motovation frame sliders that I want to install ASAP. I'm also thinking about using my tax return to purchase some color matched Honda hard sidebags. I look forward to learning to ride and spending some time here learning about my bike. I've already read alot of good stuff. Any advice for a new VFR owner? Squirks I should look for?
