2 tanks for 2006 VFR?

Hi-I'm looking for some input. I recently had my tank replaced due to a defect, and I swear it's not the same shape as the original. It has much sharper edges, and more "triangular" as opposed to round or oval. Has anyone heard of a second designed tank? Thanks. Dave

Howdy Crow; I cant say for sure, however there is a tank currently on e-bay(gen 6)
and in the info. section it says something like; this is the higher capacity
model tank and it holds something like a gallon more than the other
6 gen. tank. Other than that, I have never been aware of any optional
tank for any generation VFR. eddie

For my VTR1000, there is a euro spec 19L capacity tank (vs. the O.E. 16.?L tank) available from europe.
Begs the question if there is a similar deal with the VFR ???

The tank on the VTR was redesigned to hold more fuel in 2002 ? It was never an option.

There is NO such deal on the VFR.
