New to VFRs

Hi, I just bought a 25th Anniversary Edition about a month ago. I was originally planning on purchasing a used one, but I found a leftover '07 brand new for $7600, which I'm pretty happy about. I've been riding a naked '05 SV650 for the past four years (which is now for sale).

I'm pretty happy with the VFR so far; it is significantly heavier than the SV, but that's really only apparent in parking lots and at low speeds. It handles pretty well and I love the motor. It does seem to run pretty hot, but from what I've read this is normal.

Great deal.
Welcome aboard from a fellow Pittsburgher. I grew up there, but now roam. Pittsburgh will always be my home town.

Thanks. I always seem to meet people from Pittsburgh, wherever I travel.

Here's a pic of it.

Congrats on your new VFR and welcome to VFRW!

I live less than 2 hours from Pittsburgh, and lead informal rides in SE Ohio at least a few times a year, so check out the "Local Riders > North America > USA Central" section of the forum if you're interested in attending. Next ride is on Veteran's Day, 11/11/09.

What does it say that you meet so many people that have left Pittsburgh? Just kidding! At least you guys have a decent football team! (Great hockey team, too!)

Welcome. Nice ride. Nice price. Just looked at an 09 in my dealer's shop today for $14,900. (loonies that is) Should pick it up seeing as the 1200's are here and the 800's are no longer.

Stick around. You will become crazy like the rest of us. Except Drewl. He is the only sane one here.
