Hey fellow VFR riders!

Hello, Bonjour!
From Montreal, QC, Canada.

New to the site and the world of VFR's, what a wonderful world it is!
Just purchased a 2006 Honda VFR in White, she's my Snow White.
Ha! Ha!

I have been riding Ducati and BMW bikes for years.

But I have finally seen the light every other VFR owner has been
seeing for years.
Now it's my turn to discover this new world!

Cheers!

congrats and welcome to the group.. I'm sure you'll have as much fun as the rest of us. I am actually quite surprised at the number of riders who come over from BMW, Duc, and like me, Harley...

Everytime I ride mine I get a smile on my face and am amazed of what it can do.
welcome to the group.

Update: Man! I Love my commute everyday! I hate it when it rains or is 110 degrees! It starting to be our riding season down here while the rest of the country is getting ready for snow!

Thanks!

Thanks for the welcome, guys!

Feels great to be part of the VFR world!

I still have my BMW Rockster, but so far I have only been riding my
VFR, so if this keeps up I may end up selling my Rockster.

As I find my VFR can do it all, commuting to work, long tours, carving twisties, city riding, etc...

Now I just have to get my hands on some aftermarket goodies and let
the mods begin!
Ha! Ha!

Cheers!

I believe as they say 'the check is in the mail'. :) My wife told me she mailed it so just cash it when you get it and then ship my new toy to me, please.

Hey Steve!

Your bike looks a little familiar.
Ha! Ha!

So are you struggling like me, deciding whether or not to apply some graphics or stickers to your VFR?

Most everyone who has seen my bike has suggested that I do so, as they
say there is too much white on the bike.

What do you think?

Hello from another new guy! I love the White on that bike, and I would leave it alone if I were you. Personally, I like things simple without too much graphics; I even take the all the emblems off my cars! Crazy, I know but I really like the clean look it acheives...

Yeah I know, I like the clean look as well.
This is why I chose the white one, the black one was too boring looking.
My apologies to all Black VFR owners.

I love it!

Hey guys!

Just wanted to give you an update, I now have over 2500kms on the VFR
and I absolutely love it!

Every time I start her up and get on, I get a big smile across my face,
I just can't help it!

My poor BMW Rockster just keeps on sitting there in the garage,
gathering dust.
I never ride it anymore.
I even ride the VFR in the rain commuting to work.

I may start using the Rockster in the coming colder months of fall, Oct. and Nov. since it has heated grips and abs.
But right now I am just having too much fun on the VFR!

Cheers!

Ahhhh! I know that feeling. Unfortunately its raining up here at the moment. Just not as much fun in the rain especially with all the blind tin can drivers. Enjoy.

Hey

Hey Grinder,

I hear ya, I lived and worked in downtown Vancouver for several years.
So I got alot of rain riding experience.
Ha! Ha!

Whereabouts in BC are you?

I am now in Montreal, Quebec.
Weather is looking good for this weekend, so I will be heading out to Ottawa.
It's about a 2 hour ride, nice litte weekend jaunt.

Take care, hope the rain lets up at your end.

Cheers!

Been through Burnaby quite a few times.

Who do you ride with, up there on the West Coast?

I used to ride with the VROM crowd.
The late great Julia and Bog were good friends of mine.
R.I.P

I still have many good friends there.
I hope to head back to Vancouver some day on a cross-country ride
from Montreal, on the VFR.

I am hoping for next year in July.

Well have a great riding season!

Hey,
I am so down with that!

Pick a date and a place and I am there.

If time and money permits I plan on doing a Montreal to Vancouver ride and then back to Montreal sometime in July 07.
So I could always make a little detour for a VFR World gathering, along the way on my trip.

My suggestions would be if in CANADA - Banff National Park in Alberta
If it's to be in USA - Blue Ridge Parkway - The Dragon

What do you guys and girls, think?

Cheers!

The Dragon is cool - but nowadays it's heavily patroled.

In that case, may I suggest this place in the USA.

http://www.mountaingetaway.com/Guide.../overview.html

It is in Montana, between Bozeman and Yellowstone National Park.
A spectacular scenic destination I have yet to discover.

What do you think?
