New 5th Gen Owner
Hey,
Quick intro. I'm a new VFR owner. Just picked up a cherry '98 w/ only 8k miles on her. Runs and looks really nice. Just learning the ins and outs of the bike now, and I'm sure I'll have some questions later, but thought I'd pop out a quick intro. Just sold a '00 Ducati Monster 750 to buy it. What a change for the better. The duck was alot lighter, but the Honda is way more machine. I've got loads of riding experience (I'm an old fart) and bought the veefer to supplement my beamer (BMW R1100RS - also a sport touring model) which I still own. Between the two it's pretty easy to find something to fit my mood.

My son and I are planning on doing some extended touring on these two bikes. I bought the VFR because it is a capable tourer (once I add a few goodies) and also a fun bike to blast around on too. Being 6'2" the first mod is some helibars and the second one is a high-mount staintune can (both are currently on the way). Next will be some sort of an extended windscreen and then a bag system of some sort. I know I may be stuck switching exhausts when mounting the bags, but I can live with that. I'll ask specifics when I get closer to buying a luggage system, but I'm leaning toward Givi wingracks and hardbags.
