I just bought my VFR two weeks ago and I have yet to stop smiling. I had a 2000 CB 750 which was destroyed in a crash when a 17 year old kid forgot to stop and bent my bike in half and broke my ankle. I always wanted a VFR and I have yet to find a flaw in this bike. Power to spare and the sound is wonderful. I have a question: Would I need to rejet the bike if I replaced the air filter with a BMC or K&N type? I won't do it if I need to change the jets. Thanks! your bike is fuel injected now. no worries. you can get a power commander if you want to remap, but it is not necessary. I have an aftermarket pipe andd I'm about to add a K&N and I have no changes to stock FI. Although, I am considering getting a power commander...

Welcome to the group. Sorry to hear about your accident but glad you are better now and have upgraded ( :wink; )to the VFR. reg is correct, your Viffer is fuel injected so rejetting is not an option. He is also correct that you can get apower commander for it which will remap the calibration should you decide to go that route. This is not necessary with the change to a better flowing filter as the ecu should be able to compenste for the increased airflow.

Ditto to both above responses. You may consider a Fuel Pressure Regulator. This will get rid of some of the fuel delivery glitches that noticable at slow speeds. The Power Commander is 3 x the cost of and FPR and many with the FPR say they dont need the Power Commander now.

Hey CC,
I havent heard of the fuel pressure regulator idea before - you have an '01,
do you have some more info, and how's it work out?
