So Cal Newbie

I've been lurking around this site for a couple of weeks, and have even joined in the chat a couple of times, but I wanted to wait to officially introduce myself until after I finally got the bike home. So... today the bike is bought, paid for, registered, and insured. A beautiful 94 VFR. Red. (I guess they would all be red that year, unless repainted.) Anyway, i'll be asking lots of questions and reading up on the bike. And if there is anyone else in the L.A. area (SGV) who wants to get together, let me know. -Mark

Hi Mark, guess its time to "officially" welcome you to the group. Congrats on your aquisition. Yeah, all the 94's were red. Apparantly Honda loves red as a number of years red was the only color. lol.

Thanks Vinny. It was fun riding home, but LOTS of stop and go traffic. My clutch hand was aching. It's way outta shape.

Also, I was the bars were about 1 or 2 inches higher. I found lots of my weight was resting on my palms. I think there are bar risers that will fit. Have to do a search.

There aer a number of options from Gen Mar risers to Heli Bars, which are a replacement to the oem bars and priovide a higher placement as well as bringing the bar closer tothe rider.

Hey. Welcome to the group. I'm in the central coast, but you are close enough that you'll be wanting to ride up here for the roads. I'll be down your way on and off also as I plan on traversing as many cali roads as possible.
