Hey Biscuit! These guys are awesome, the bikes aren't bad either! Enjoy the treasure trove of info everyone is super helpful.

The VFR is quite unique, great sound and power, non-inline 4 (I've had 9 of those) and it won't break like a Ducati or crush your wallet either like the BMW's!

Hello and welcoem to the group. Ditto on what Vlad said, no unbiased opinions here. lol The VFR, imo, is a great bike. It is not a sport bike nor is it a touring bike. It is both, and it does both very well.

We all love them, no biases of course. A good solid all around bike with good handling, power, ease of use, reliablility. Not the quickest bike around but quick enough for the real world. Does everything well, not the best in any particular category but very good in all. What else can I say, I ride one.

Life is always good on a VFR, doesn't matter what year you pick either if your budget minded. Any model year from 1986(pre 86' VF's not bad either, some issues) thru current will serve you well, 90' & up of course you get the signature VFR single side swing arm. Ideal amount of torque just shy of breaking the back tire loose with out trying a little & will pull hard in any gear @ almost any RPM. Enough speed to turn a tree lined road into a blurry green wall & confidence inspiring handling that will put a smile on your face in the twisty stuff. Good ergonomics & comfortable enough to ride 500-1000 miles a day, with some conditioning & or aftermarket upgrades of course. You just can't go wrong w/ a VFR, bar none the best bang for your buck in the touring oriented sport bike category ( this vs. the sport oriented touring bikes like the ST & FJR & some would say the 07' model falls into that category but opinions are like ........ everyones got one )

Biscuit. - go ride one, or two. Do you have your motorcycle license? If so, many honda dealers will let you test drive an Interceptor after they qualify you etc... the honda site http://powersports.honda.com/motorcycles/sport/ can show you a dealer in your area. if they have the "test drive" icon, send them a note and go confirm that we are right and the VFR / Interceptor is the bike. Then you can decide on new/used. or... the VFR isn't right for you (not likely) ;-)

Look above... Those are for the 1998 which is what I ride. They pretty much all read like that from then on to current with a few little changes here and there...
