I bought a Givi trunk and had it color match painted. It locks on securely and is easy to remove. In fact, it becomes my suitcase when I tour since my beattle bags are bolted on. It has a tight seal and things stay dry inside. I have no problems with mine.

thanks for the quick response
Now how much load can a 2005 abs VFR handle.?.?.?.?. 2up(300 lbs total) plus GEAR!!! (camping and such..) I plan on getting GIVI V35 plus GIVI 52litre supertrunk and of course a tank bag. Any potential frame or mounting issues when we are FULLY loaded.. Also will the clutch be able to handle the weight on long mountains? Thanks for your time ![]() PS my old Shadow was pretty much bottomed out when where loaded.. Last edited by nevik001; 04-23-2007 at 10:18 PM. |

It might be worth upgrading the suspension, with that kind of load the right suspension would help a lot.

still love my bags
done 15000km with them. overstuffed them a few too many times and they are not as water tight as I would like them to be Fullface helmets shouldnt be to much of an issue till you get onto xl sizes then it could become a bit stressful on the bags as for weight... all seems good no issues yet |

The bags showed up a day early- Thanks Twisted Throttle. I mounted them up last night. I did have to cut down the top spacers to work with my Leo Vince Carbon can mounts. Unfortunatly my helmet does not fit. The wife's will so I guess I will be shopping for a new helmet. I have a HJC CL-SP XXl that I wear in the winter so I can wear a really thick Balaclava with- hopefully I can fit a large Shoei RF1000 or something like that. I will ride this weekend to see if there are any adverse affects but so far so good.

givi 35 or honda line saddle bags
any reason you went with the givi V35 instead of the honda line bags
same capacity, same similar shape, it looks like twisted throttle has both for about the same price. both me and my wife have 'small' heads, so our helmets would fit both which mounting frames did you use? Givi PLX sidecarriers or SW-MOTECH Contour sidecarriers (Motech claims theirs are quick release, which sounds like a nice feature) |
