Honda 6th Gen. Saddle Bags

Paint matches perfectly, but only the outer shell is painted. Material is plastic with a sheet metal heat shield pop-riveted to the plastic up by the exhaust. The cases fit on the racks easily and very securely. No noises from wind or rattles up to ~100mph... haven't gone faster with the bags on.

Installing the racks took me about three hours, but I had my bike for only a few days and was going super slow to ensure I didn't do something unusually stupid.

The racks and their mount points are pretty secure... there are photos in my gallery.

I haven't been in the rain with them, but the rubber strips seem to make them likely to stay dry.

Size wise, a full face Arai gets squeezed in.

I carry my rain gear and warmer gloves on one side and my computer, work papers in the other.

I'm pleased with their performance over the first 2K miles. The bags work well, but they are my first set... perhaps someone can compare the Honda to the Givi's.

I hope this aint a nosey question, but how much were they? I found them for $850.00. Is that cheap enough? I don't know many vendors. Just folks like Dennis Kirk. I melted my last set of soft bags (the straps). Thanks!

If you're talking about the bags on ebay for $849.99, they are pretty expensive. Have a look at www.davidsilverspares.com, they seem to be able to send bags from the UK to the US quite a bit cheaper than that.
